The perfect place to experience a
genuine farmstay and friendly rural
hospitality at our 120 year old historic
homestead. Come and join us on our extensive 440 ha sheep, beef and deer
farm. Enjoy guided tours and farm activities, fish in our trout-filled river, or
just relax with a book on our cool verandahs or in our garden. Our home and
family offer guests a friendly environment, catering for individuals or families
interested in the outdoor life. (Two night stay recommended.) Enjoy specialty
farm-cooked meals of homegrown beef, lamb or venison, complimented with
fresh garden vegetables and fruit. Enrich your stay by including other outdoor
activities at our backdoor; hunting, fishing, bush and farm walks, garden tours,
jet boating and extensive mountain hikes, plus many attractions in the greater
sunny Hawkes Bay area.
“Annie’s Cottage” - For those seeking total privacy and a
longer stay at Waiwhenua. Our recently renovated, fully selfcontained,
cosy, three bedroom rural retreat awaits visitors.
