From Whangarei drive east for twenty-five minutes to our eight acres on the Taiharuru
Estuary. With a bush and seaside setting, there is a small jetty, and a variety of small craft to use on the estuary. Spots for fishing and shellfish are close. There is a variety of wonderful walks, with Pacific views and peaks, available to differing levels of fitness. A choice of ocean and surf beaches ten to twenty minutes away. We have a farming and teaching background and there’s a small flock of sheep. We are interested in sailing, cycling, conservation, gardening, home-cooking and music. We enjoy having company and looking after guests. Our accommodation is a separate upstairs two bedroom flat with ensuite, kitchen and television. Also a downstairs bedroom with ensuite and TV. We can provide extra home-cooked meals if you wish; or cafés & restaurant are ten minutes away. Looking forward to showing you Northland hospitality.
