When visiting Historic Russell take a step back into
a bygone era. Spend some time with us in our delightful
nostalgic, immaculately restored villa (circa 1894). Enjoy wraparound
verandahs in summer and the large guest lounge with
open fire in winter. Each room has traditional wallpapers and
paint work with handmade patchwork quilts and fresh flowers to
create a lovingly detailed, traditional romantic interior. Breakfast
is served in our farmhouse kitchen around the large kauri dining
table. It is an all homemade affair, from the fresh baked bread to
the yummy daily special and the jam conserves. Our 1930’s selfcontained
cottage is set in park-like grounds for your privacy and
enjoyment. With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, large lounge and
sunroom and fully self-contained kitchen, it is ideal for people
wanting peace and time out. Breakfast is available if required. We
