Paua Bach and Fig Tree Cottage are nestled amongst 5 acres of
peaceful country gardens and orchard. Self-contained countrystyle
luxury with French doors opening out into the orchard, crisp
cotton bed linen, bath robes, fresh fruit, flowers and candles. Special
to Paua Batch is an old fashioned outdoor bath (to be taken with
a glass of wine and bubbles).
Watch the variety of our birdlife while enjoying a full breakfast
brought out onto your private deck. Freshly squeezed orange juice,
in-season fruit, home made muesli and our own free-range eggs.
Quiet and relaxing, perfect for that special anniversary or as a restful
stay. The area is well known for crafts and gardens. Local activities
include swimming, diving, bush walking, tramping, horse riding,
fishing, kayaking, scenic boat cruises and golf. Cathedral Cove,
Cooks and Hot Water Beaches are 7-8 min. drive. There are several
good restaurants close by, alternatively BBQ your evening meal Kiwi
style. We normally have fresh produce available from our garden. Meet our friendly sheep,
kunekune pig, donkey, cat and a small dog.
DIRECTIONS:
14 km north of Tairua turn into Hot Water Beach Rd. – 1.5 km left into Purangi Rd. – 1.5 km on left is Mercury Orchard.
