Ian and Judith welcome you to
charming Matagouri Cottage,
which is nestled in trees in a tranquil part of Lake Hawea village.
Judith has come back to the district where she was raised on a sheep
station, still in family hands and close by for visits. Ian trained as a
quantity surveyor and has lived in Hong Kong and also in England,
where he was involved in the running of a Bed & Breakfast. He’s
lived in New Zealand since 1987.
Matagouri Cottage, apart from the fact of its peaceful location, is the centre
of an area famed for its diversity. Ski fields abound, mountains and lakes with
their immense opportunities are a great attraction and there is a vibrant wine
growing industry virtually on the doorstep.
Matagouri Cottage has two charmingly appointed ensuite bedrooms and all
the comforts of a New Zealand country home including an open fire in the
sitting room and wood burner in the kitchen/dining room.
