Our lodge at Point Veronica is in an outstanding, peaceful,
coastal location of natural beauty with some of the best views
of the Bay of Islands. We have stunning sea and bush views with
sunsets seen from our decks. Only
5 km away are Paihia and Waitangi
with amenities and popular leisure
activities for tourists. Mako Lodge is 5 minutes by car from Opua
Marina and the car ferry, which takes you to Okiato, historic
Russell and Long Beach. A three minute walk from Mako Lodge
takes walking enthusiasts to the ‘Coastal Path’ and bush walks in
the area.
Relax in our hot tub overlooking the Bay — you may even spot a
pod of dolphins or orcas – or relax in the bay view garden which
has commanding views over the Bay Of Islands looking towards
Russell and Waitangi. Mako Lodge is a non smoking environment.
All bedrooms have sea views, refrigerator, complimentary tea and coffee
making facilities plus TV, VCR and clock radio alarms. Regrettably
Mako Lodge is unable to cater for animals, or children.
