Hulmes Court Bed & Breakfast is two beautiful homes only a
few minutes walk from the heart of town and the Visitor
Centre. Tennyson Street is quiet and we have private gardens, trees,
decks and sitting areas. The Victorian Hulmes Court is one of
the most historic homes in Dunedin. It was built in the 1860s by
the first provincial surgeon Edward Hulme who helped found the
Medical School. Hulmes Too is a large Edwardian home built next
to Hulmes Court on the grounds of the original estate. Hulmes
Court has a variety of rooms which cater for all tastes from the
economical cute single Rose Room at $70 per night to our grand
ensuite rooms in Hulmes Too at $165 per night.
Your host Norman owns a variety of businesses and is interested
in history, philosophy, geography and has stood for parliament
twice. At the same time Norman at 41 and his staff are youthful,
full of energy and travel widely. We provide complimentary laundry, internet and email, barbeque,
mountain bikes and off-street parking.
