We welcome you to our home,
the House of Wood. Built
of exotic timbers, it’s conveniently
located within two minutes’ walk of
our township with shops, restaurants, post office and cinema and
a short walk to Lake Te Anau. Each room has comfortable beds,
electric blanket, tea-making facilities, hairdryer, heater and outdoor
table and chairs, so guests can admire the beautiful views from our
balconies. We offer a delicious cooked breakfast and guests share
a lounge. Dinner by arrangement. Our varied interests include
golf, rowing, reading, gardening, fishing and boating. We can offer
advice on tours available and can book them for you. For tourist
trips you will be picked up from our gate. Two mountain bikes and
luggage storage available. Laundromats nearby. We look forward to
meeting you and sharing our slice of paradise. We would appreciate
check-in after 2pm.
