such a place. When you visit, Garthowen will provide you
with the perfect setting in which to relax, unwind and feel
pampered. Situated right on the water front of Akaroa’s main street, purposely built to
the original 1890’s Guest House, Garthowen opened in December ‘05 – an absolutely
stunning home with harbour views. From your own dining room and lounge you can
view the harbour or sit by the fire with a good book. Enjoy a delicious breakfast from
our scrumptious menu served in the dining room or on the balcony while smelling the
sea air. All rooms have TV, DVD’s, air conditioning, underfloor heating, personalized
gowns, tea/coffee, chocolates, quality linen, flowers and super-king beds.
