Warkworth Sandspit is the perfect stop going to and from the
Bay of Islands. Belvedere Homestay is sited on top of the hill
with 360° views overlooking the spit where the ferries leave for Kawau
Island and Governor Grey’s restored mansion. The view is awesome
which you will enjoy while relaxing on our spacious decks and terraces.
Stroll around our property with sunken barbeque, rose garden,
orchards, lawns, native birds and bush
and two lily ponds and enjoy a friendly game of pétanque (boule) or
pool. Laundry facilities available. Fishing off the beach or boat, golf,
tennis, swimming etc are all within seven kilometres. Our house is for
your comfort and enjoyment and as Roger Hall (NZ/English stage
and televison playwright) wrote about Belvedere Homestay: “It is no
wonder people come for one day and stay a week.” Margaret’s flair
with cooking is a great way to relax after an adventurous day, with
pre-dinner drinks and two course meal and wine ($50pp). Come and
